3. Orders (Website & WhatsApp)

Orders may be placed via:

  • Our website (WooCommerce)
  • WhatsApp ordering

Please note:

  • Orders are only confirmed once accepted by us
  • You are responsible for providing accurate contact, delivery, and order details
  • We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order at our discretion

4. Online Orders (WooCommerce)

  • Orders placed online are only confirmed once payment has been successfully processed
  • If an item is unavailable or there is an error, we may cancel the order and issue a refund
  • You will be notified in such cases

5. Pricing & Payments

  • All prices are listed in South African Rand (ZAR)
  • Prices may change without prior notice
  • Payment may be required upfront for certain orders (including pre-orders and events)

Payment Processing

Payments are processed via secure third-party providers (e.g. PayFast, PayGate, Stripe).
The Vegan Chef:

  • Does not store full payment details
  • Is not responsible for payment gateway errors

6. Pickup & Delivery

Delivery

  • Delivery times are estimates and may vary
  • Customers must ensure someone is available to receive the order

Important

  • Risk transfers to the customer upon delivery
  • Incorrect addresses or failed deliveries may not be eligible for refunds

Pickup

  • Pickup times and locations will be confirmed after ordering
  • Orders not collected on time may not be remade or refunded

7. Food Handling & Storage Disclaimer

Due to the nature of food products:

  • The Vegan Chef is not responsible for improper storage, handling, or reheating after delivery or collection
  • Customers must follow any provided storage or heating instructions
  • Once food leaves our control, responsibility transfers to the customer

  • We cannot guarantee that products are free from allergens

9. Refunds, Returns & Cancellations

Due to the perishable nature of our products:

Refunds

Refunds or replacements may only be considered if:

  • The product is defective

Claims must be made within 24 hours of receiving your order.
